Murali Raju, MD
Introduction
Murali Raju, MD is a neurosurgeon with specialty training in all aspects of spine surgery. He has coauthored chapters in textbooks on degenerative spinal disorders and deformities.
Dr. Raju completed his bachelor's and medical degrees at Northwestern University. From there, he joined the neurosurgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University under the guidance of Dr. Charles J. Hodge. During his residency he trained with world-renowned spine surgeons Drs. Bruce Fredrickson, Hansen Yuan, and Ken Yonemura.
He then obtained further subspecialty training in spine surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital, one of the leading orthopedic specialty hospitals in the country. Dr. Raju completed his combined orthopedic and neurosurgical fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Eric Woodard. Training with one of the largest groups of spine surgeons in the country, Dr. Raju was able to develop expertise in a broad range of spine conditions ranging from spinal oncology, to scoliosis deformities, to advanced degenerative conditions.
Dr. Raju has joined the Orange County Brain & Spine Group after completing his fellowship.
